Cargo Insurance
Survival in this industry demands that prudent measures be taken to avoid catastrophic losses. This is entirely possible through the use of Cargo Insurance. From point to point international cargo is always vulnerable to pilferage and damage by the elements. In our capacity as Freight Forwarders, we feel responsibility to take whatever steps are necessary to protect our customer’s interests.
With this in mind, it is the policy of ESPA Cargo to remind our customers of the importance of Cargo Insurance. Import and export shipments can be insured for 100% of the CIF value (excluding duty). Cargo Insurance will give you the basic coverage your merchandise deserves. From point of origin to final destination your merchandise will be insured.
Whatever your decision, we can assure you that your shipments will be handled with the utmost care.
We offer two types of International Marine Insurance.
1. All Risk: Only available on items which are packed by ESPA Cargo professional packing personnel. This policy covers, damage & breakages that may accrue from day of packing, through transit and delivery to final destination. Policy is valid till, 45th day upon arrival at port of destination. This is the Rolls Royce of marine insurance coverage. This policy guarantees insurance company will replace any article that is lost or damaged beyond repair with either a like item or a cash settlement. Any cash settlements made will be in the amount of the current market replacement value.
2. Total Loss: Available to all shipments. Coverage of this policy is; fire, theft or total loss only. A total value must be placed on shipment.
